BIOGRAPHY
Grant Tays is a doctoral student working with Dr. Rachael Seidler in the Department of Applied Physiology and Kinesiology. Specifically, he's investigating the effects of space-flight and its analogs on sensorimotor adaptation and neurocognitive behavior. Before continuing his studies at the University of Florida, Grant received his Bachelors of Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Kinesiology with a minor in Psychology. He then continued on to complete his Masters of Science at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Kinesiology, with a focus in Neuromechanics. During his time there he worked as an undergraduate and graduate research assistant for Dr. Jinsung Wang analyzing neural processes underlying sensorimotor adaptation as well as the processes underlying and the effects of passively conducted movement. Grant's initial interest in Kinesiology stemmed from his service in the United States Marine Corps. Outside of the lab, Grant enjoys SCUBA diving, kayaking and generally being in the water. |
